A village that plants 111 trees for every girl born in Rajasthan

A village in India is making sure that both girls and trees grow up strong and healthy. The village Piplantri in the northwestern state of Rajasthan plants 111 trees for every girl born and holds a deposit of 31,000 rupees ($520) for girl-averse families to collect after 20 years.

The offer stands as long as the daughters are nurtured, educated and not prematurely married off, the initiative has resulted in the growth of more than 250,000 trees over six years.

LORD JESUS CHRIST IN CAR ACCIDENT

Believe or not the guy goes by this name. Just as expected of a victim with such a name, he forgave the person that had hit him with the car. The Lord Jesus Christ was actually hit by a woman. The only problem that the car driver had was that the police did not forgive her. She ran down the victim on a Massachusetts crosswalk.
The man is 50 years of age and hails from the town of Belchertown. After checking his id and passport the police officers were able to confirm that his name was indeed Lord Jesus Christ. The man luckily suffered only minor injuries on his face. He was treated at a local hospital and released on the same day. This was according to the republican.
The driver was clearly in fault as Christ was in a marked crosswalk at the time of the accident. This was according to Captain Scott Savino.

Weblogs - New Media

The Internet is slowly transforming the new media because the people are depending on online sources of news instead of traditional print and broadcast media. Most of the people surf the sites like CNN but also turn to unique online news sources such as weblogs. The Internet provides text, audio, and video information. New Media is transforming the traditional media. We can take example of weblogs- known as blogs. Blogs have become very significant in the 21st century.

Bloggers express their opinion on different issues and thousands of people give comments. The web also allows for a more interactive approach by allowing people to express their opinion. Many prominent personalities write their blogs and give unbiased opinions. Blog writing’s essential feature is direct participation of a blogger. Blogs are not only transforming traditional media sources but holding them more accountable too.
